Hampshire Sheep
Our passion for Hampshire sheep started in 2015 with the purchase of seven Hampshire ewes from Longview farms. Since then we have added genetics from the top producers in the United States. We are proud to be producing the highest quality from breeders such as Spoonster Hampshires, Dew Drop Farms, Crazy H Club Lambs, Borcher Sheep Company, Held Hampshires, Baa Baa Acres, Feller, Weaton, Rask, Deacon and Longview Farms.
Our son owns half the flock and is showing in the fitted and slick shorn divisions. Market lambs with our genetics are winning and also making certified lamb. Select rams are sold in the Montana Wool Grower's Ram Sale every September. Select ewes, rams and wethers are sold private treaty. Every winter we host an essay contest where a 4-H or FFA member can win a market wether of their pick.
We offer custom fed lambs by the halves or whole each fall. Lamb is available by the cut at the Glendive Farm to Table Store. Every Lamb is raised with care, free of antibiotic and hormone. Hand selected for quality and flavor.
We feel that we have selected a set of sires the round out our program with the best genetics and style in the industry.
Each one selected on conformation, disposition, breed character, pedigree and economically important traits to our industry.
Our diverse offerings allows for every producer to find something in our program to fit their needs.
The ewes we have selected and retained to our flock are as solid as our sires. They must be good mothers with longevity to stay in our program.
Our ewes are pretty and functional. They raise lambs as good or better than themselves. We always have ewe lambs for sale and a few bred ewes in the fall.
Our program must preform at home but oh it is so fun to watch them perform in the show ring and make us proud. We have been very fortunate to produce and purchase stock that continue to do well at home and in the ring.
Home grown, youth raised lambs are available by the package, 1/2, Whole. Our lamb is stocked by the package at the local Farm-to-Table Store.
All lambs are naturally raised to perfection and processed to the specifications of the buyer.
One way we give back to the youth of our area is to offer one lamb to a deserving youth through an annual essay contest. All details are posted on our Facebook Page. Winner is able to come and pick a wether in the spring to show and raise. The contest is open to all FFA and 4-H.
